# Make the stop a good one.

A little preparation helps when visiting a roadside stand. Use this checklist alongside the stand’s own signs and instructions.

## Before you leave

Read the listing’s hours, season, and location notes. Check with the stand directly when possible, especially before a long detour. A directory entry cannot guarantee that a stand is open or that a product is still available.

## Bring what the stop calls for

Check the recorded payment methods and consider bringing bags or a cooler for your purchases. If the stand uses an honour box, follow its posted prices and payment instructions.

## Arrive with care

Use designated parking and follow signs. Keep driveways and access routes clear. A public stand is not an invitation to enter homes, fields, barns, or other private areas.

## Choose a flexible route

Seasonal stops can change their hours or sell out. Save a few options and check the route in Google Maps before you travel. Set up directions before driving.
